Meet James

Basslines, dragons and the dance floor

James is a New York City DJ, music producer and dance instructor. He plays the room the way a dragon guards its treasure: he watches, he waits, and when the moment hits, he breathes fire.

Behind the decks, he reads the crowd and builds the energy. In lessons, he slows it all down so you can learn to do the same, whether that is your first mix, your first finished track, or your first time feeling free on the floor.

Before you book

What happens on the call?

It is a relaxed chat about your event or your goals. James asks a few questions, answers yours, and explains what the next step looks like. There is no obligation to book anything.

What kinds of events do you DJ?

Private parties, birthdays, celebrations, club nights and other adult events in New York City. Share your date, venue and vibe on the call to check availability.

How much does it cost?

Event pricing depends on date, length, location and setup, so you get a clear quote after your call. Lesson rates are shared on the call too.

I've never touched DJ gear. Can I still learn?

Yes. Lessons start where you are, whether you are a complete beginner or already mixing and want to level up.

Do I need my own equipment or software?

Not to get started. James will talk through what you need, if anything, based on how and where you want to practise.

Are lessons in person or online?

Both. In-person lessons are in New York City, and online sessions work from anywhere with a stable internet connection.

Who are your services for?

Adults 18 and over. Lessons are available 1:1 or in small groups.

Can I reschedule?

Life happens. Reschedule and cancellation terms are explained before you book and in the Terms.
